LUCIA H. ARELLANO

Lucia H. Arellano, age 85, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021, surrounded by her beloved family at the hour of her death.
Lucia was born on May 23, 1936, in San Felipe Torres Mochas, Guanajuato, Mexico to Juan Hernandez and Vicenta Claudio. She married the love of her life, Jose Paulino Arellano, on June 24 1953 and together they had 10 children. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Being surrounded by her family was her greatest joy. She especially loved hosting Christmas Eve get-togethers at her home where she and her husband would make delicious tamales for everyone to enjoy. She created so many beautiful memories that her family will treasure forever.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Jose Paulino Arellano, children, Jose Guadalupe Arellano, Maria del Socorro (Alfredo+) Teniente, Juan Jose Arellano, Jose Paulino Arellano Jr. and Gerardo "Jerry" Arellano; grandson, Antonio "Tony" Arellano and great granddaughter, Daniella Victoria Arellano, as well as her siblings, Maria (Antonio+) Ramirez and Maria del Carmen (Juan+) Contreras.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved children, Jose Leonardo (Andrea) Arellano, Luz Maria (Antonio) Estrada, Sandra Juanita (Roberto "Chito" Fuentes) Elizondo, Jesus (Nohemi Bernal) Arellano and Javier (Norma) Arellano. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren, her siblings, Esther (Roberto+) Perez of Laredo, Gabino Martinez and Juani Perez, from California, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Funeral services were held on Friday, August 13, 2021 departing from the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Jose L. Arellano, Jesus Arellano, Javier Arellano, Roberto (Chito) Fuentes, Jose L. (Lenny) Arellano, Jesse Arellano Jr., Tomas J. (Tommy) Gonzalez Jr., Alfonso J. Arellano, Antonio Estrada and Alberto Arellano.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Juan Jose (Johnny) Arellano Jr., Alfredo (Freddy) Teniente Jr. and Esther Perez.
