LUIS ALFONSO DIAZ DE LEON
Luis Alfonso Diaz De Leon, 94, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Diaz De Leon was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
He was a Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged as a Quartermaster third class in 1946.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Father, Alfonso Diaz De Leon and Mother, Andrea Lizcano Sauceda.
Son, Miguel Vicente Diaz De Leon.
Brothers, Benjamin Diaz De Leon, David Sauceda and Eloy Sauceda.
Sister, Maria de Jesus Martinez.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 71 years of marriage, Josefina V. Diaz De Leon
Children, Luis Alfonso (Eva) Diaz De Leon II, Jose Guadalupe (Karla) Diaz De Leon, Linda Andrea Flores, Ricardo Diaz De Leon, Anna Celly Aquino, Rosa Maria (Donald) Smith and Rebecca Melissa Paredes.
19 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Siblings, Victor (Aurora) Sauceda, Hilda Zamora and Gloria (Paul) Zamarripa
Sister-in-law, Luz Sauceda.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in his name to St. John Neumann Catholic Church or the Sacred Heart Children's Home, 3310 S. Zapata Hwy, Laredo, Texas.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Committal services and interment  followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Gilberto Paredes, Justin W. Smith, Nath C. Flores, Noe Diaz De Leon, Gilberto Diaz De Leon and Mike V. Paredes.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS WERE: Emilio Tristan Servano and Don Smith.
