LUIS R. ORTIZ

Luis R. Ortiz 91, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Mr. Ortiz was born in Laredo, Texas, and attended Martin High School. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for Entex Company (Center Point) for 30 years until he retired.

Mr. Ortiz loved being active in church and he loved directing the hymns during the service. When asked, he was always ready and willing to help out anyone who was in need. He was friendly and always joking around. Mr. Ortiz will be greatly missed by his children and all his church family.

Thank you to Dr. Luis M. Benavidez and Mr. Charles Brunner PA for their loving care for many years.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service, officiated by Rev. Dorso Maciel, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held on a later date.
