LUZ MARIA CHAVEZ GOMEZ

Luz Maria Chavez Gomez, 57, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2023 in Houston, Texas.

Mrs. Chavez was born in Madero, Tamp., Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Anastacio Chavez.
Beloved husband, Agustin Ortiz Robles.
Brother-in-law, Rafael Ortiz.

She is survived by her children, Edgar Alejandro Chavez (Pauline), Alba Alicia Chavez, Zulema de los Angeles Ortwein (Marcos), Agustin Evaristo Ortiz and Dennis Arturo (Bernice) Ortiz.
Grandchildren, Amber, Edgar Jr., Marcos, Luz, Raquel, Natalie, Eduardo, Ruth, David, Hector, Amauri, Belen, Filiberto and Eliazar.
Mother, Maria de los Angeles Chavez-Gomez.
Brothers, Tomas (Luz) Chavez and Alejandro (Julia) Chavez.
Sisters, Elvira Ortiz and Alma Angelica (Ariel) Rosales.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, November 2, 2023 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. A Chapel service was held in the funeral home chapels before committal services and interment which followed at the Laredo City Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Edgar Chavez, Agustin Ortiz, Dennis Ortiz, Marcos Chavez, Edgar "Jr." Chavez, Rafael Ortiz, Marcos Contreras and Franco Millan.
