MANUEL G. LARA JR.
Manuel G. Lara Jr., 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at a local hospital.
Mr. Lara was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Santos Lara Sr.
Son-in-law, Eladio Zuniga.
Grandson, Nicholas Lara.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years of marriage, Maria Josefina Lara.
Children, Adriana (Julio) Ortega, Manuel (Cordelia) Lara III., Gabriela Zuniga and Luis Gerardo (Janie) Lara.
Grandchildren, Manuel Lara IV, Matias R. Morales, Christina Yvonne Lara and Clarissa Marie Lara.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services will be held at a later date.
