Obituary

MANUEL "MEME" PALACIOS JR.
Manuel "Meme" Palacios Jr., 65, passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at a local hospital.
Mr. Palacios was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Elisa Palacios.
Sister, Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez.
Meme was the son of the original owners of El Taquito Millonario. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp., who served his country honorably from 1975 - 1979, as a Rifleman, who was duly awarded the Rifle Merit Badge, before being Honorably Discharged. He will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.
He is survived by his loving spouse, of 45 years of marriage, Imelda Santos Palacios.
Children, Laura (Joe) Segundo, Manuel (Yolanda) Palacios III., Daniel Palacios and Javier (Karla) Palacios.
11 grandchildren.
Sisters, Rosa (Alberto) Puente and Juanita (Ricardo) Alvarez.
Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Santo Nino Catholic Church. Committal services and interment follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
