MANUEL SALDANA

Manuel Saldaña de 86 años, falleció el martes 16 de julio de 2024 en Laredo, Texas.

El Sr. Saldaña nació y creció en Laredo, Texas. Sirvió en la Infantería de Marina de los Estados Unidos desde 1956 hasta su baja honorable. Trabajó con el Departamento de Transporte de Texas hasta su jubilación despues de 35 años de servicio.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Andrés y Antonia Saldaña.

Le sobrevive su amada esposa, Paula Saldaña.
Hijos, Juan Chávez, María Elena Chávez, Rosalía (Venancio) Candelaria y Teresa Chávez (Teodoro) Méndez.
Nietos, Steve Candelaria, Jennifer Candelaria, Adrian Candelaria, Michael Candelaria, Alexis Méndez, Jesús Méndez y Juan Francisco Méndez.
Sobrina, Rosalinda (Carlos) Cárdenas Delgado.

La familia desea agradecer de todo corazón a su técnico de diálisis, DaVita, y al Dr. Nan Bicheng por todo su cuidado y atención hacia el Sr. Saldaña.

Los portadores del féretro serán Juan Chávez, Steve Candelaria,  Luis González, Humberto Tijerina, Gabriel Elizondo, Carlos Delgado y Lauro García.

El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 19 de julio de 2024 de 4 p.m. a 9 p.m. y se realizará una Vigilia de Difuntos a las 7 p.m. en Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. en San Bernardo Ave. Los servicios funerarios comenzarán saliendo de la capilla de la funeraria a las 10:30 a. m. el sábado 20 de julio de 2024. La Santa Misa se celebrará a las 11 a. m. en Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Los servicios de sepelio se llevarán a cabo en una fecha posterior.

Manuel Saldaña, 86, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Saldaña was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He served with the United States Marine Corp. 1956 up until his Honorable Discharge. He worked with Texas Department of Transportation until his retirement after 35 years of service.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Antonia Saldaña.

He is survived by his loving wife,  Paula Saldaña.
Children, Juan Chavez, Maria Elena Chavez, Rosalie (Venancio) Candelaria and Teresa Chavez (Teodoro) Mendez.
Grandchildren, Steve Candelaria, Jennifer Candelaria, Adrian Candelaria, Michael Candelaria, Alexis Mendez, Jesus Mendez and Juan Francisco Mendez.
Niece, Rosalinda (Carlos) Cardenas Delgado.

The family would like to give their heartfelt gratitude to his dialysis tech DaVita and to Dr. Nan Bicheng for all their care and attention to Mr. Saldaña.

Pallbearers will be, Juan Chavez, Steve Candelaria, Luis Gonzalez, Humberto Tijerina, Gabriel Elizondo, Carlos Delgado and Lauro Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
