He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, of 57 years of marriage, Angelina Vera, who passed away on February 7, 2025.

By his son, Jesus Fuentes Vera , his parents Gregoria Bazan and Wenceslao Vera and by his brothers, Roberto Vera Bazan, Lucia Vera Bazan (Rodela), Luis Vera Bazan and Felipe Vera Bazan.

He is survived by his children, Evangelina (Martin) Castañeda, Adriana (Rene) Silva, Lucia "Lucy" Vera Bazan,

Manuel (Thelma) Vera Jr., Cristina (Oscar) Chiquillo, Elias Vera and Rebecca (Eric) Patlan.

19 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Sister-in-law, Juana Villar.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Nothing in this world can compensate the amazing care you granted to both parents. We will be forever grateful with you dear sister. THANK YOU!"

The Vera Family would like to publicly thank the San Antonio Home Health and Hospice and its staff for providing such an amazing health service to Dad. Your commitment and dedication in guiding us through each stage of Dad's health really helped us to better understand his condition and reassured us that Dad was at peace. We are immensely thankful for your service.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service, officiated by Anciano de Iglesia José Jalomo, will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Committal services will be held on a later date.
