Marc Anthony Sauceda, 24, of Laredo, Texas, and a resident of Portland, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2026.
Marc was born on September 20, 2001, in Laredo, Texas. He graduated from United HighSchool in 2020 and later attended Laredo College, where he earned his welding certification.
From an early age, Marc learned the trade of welding from his maternal grandfather and was inspired to follow in his footsteps. After completing his education, he was hired as a welder by MIS, a subcontractor for Kiewit Offshore Services in Ingleside, Texas. Marc was anexceptionally hardworking young man who was deeply passionate about his craft and dedicated to his work. His strong work ethic, determination, and commitment earned the respect of those who worked alongside him.
Marc loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He welcomed every opportunity to spend time at the Sauceda family ranch, where he created countless treasured memories with family and friends.
Marc was a devoted sports enthusiast whose love for competition and team spirit was evident throughout his life. He especially enjoyed attending games and sporting events with his beloved Amanda and his family, passionately supporting the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and Houston Astros. These experiences brought him great joy and created treasured memories that his family will forever hold close to their hearts.
Marc cherished spending time with his beloved Amanda and treasured every moment they shared together. Their relationship brought him immense happiness, and some of his fondest memories were made by her side. Whether enjoying everyday moments or creating new adventures together, Amanda held a special place in Marc’s heart, and their love was a source of great joy in his life.
Above all, Marc loved his family and friends. He was especially proud of and grateful for his parents and grandparents, whose love, guidance, and unwavering support meant so much to him throughout his life. Marc also held his godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Andres Maldonado and Mr. and Mrs. Danny Perales, in the highest esteem and deeply appreciated their presence, wisdom, and dedication to his upbringing. Their love, encouragement, and influence helped shape the person he became, and he remained grateful for the special role they played in his life. He treasured spending time with his uncles, aunts and cousins at family gatherings and celebrations and was happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
Marc shared a particularly special bond with his two nieces, Camila and Emma. He delighted in playing with them and often dressed up as their favorite cartoon characters for birthday parties and special occasions, bringing them joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Marc also shared special friendships with Nathaniel Garcia, Ma Elena Valdez-Alaniz, and Alexis Ortega of Portland, Texas, and Jack Sanchez and Ricky Chapa of Laredo, Texas. Their friendship, support, and companionship were a cherished part of his life.
Marc will be remembered for his kind heart, hardworking spirit, unwavering dedication, love of family, and loyalty to his friends. He touched the lives of many through his generosity, sense of humor, and genuine nature. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Though his time with us was far too short, the love Marc shared and the memories he created will remain a lasting gift to those fortunate enough to have known him.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Michael and Maria Elena Sauceda.Maternal grandfather, Manuel Galindo Jr.
He is survived by his parents, Michael and Leticia Sauceda Jr.Brothers, Isaiah Galindo (Ilse Nohemi Carrizales), Michael Andrew Sauceda (Emily TieTje) and Nathaniel Austin Sauceda. Nieces, Camila Galindo and Emma Taylor Sauceda.Maternal grandmother, Celia Galindo.Fiancé, Amanda Christine Gonzalez.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
The Sauceda family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all family members, friends,
coworkers, and loved ones who have offered their prayers, support, kindness, and condolencesduring this difficult time. Your love, compassion, and presence have provided comfort andstrength, and your thoughtfulness will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St, on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 9:05 a.m.on Monday, June 8, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
