Margarito Lopez's Obituary
MARGARITO L. LOPEZ
Margarito L. Lopez, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Lopez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a life long resident.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, who served from 1963, until his Honorable Discharge, in 1966. He reached the rank of E-3, while working as an Aircraft Mechanic.
Mr. Lopez later became a Teacher for LISD for 33 years. He taught for various schools, including Alma Pierce Elementary School. Mr. Lopez was a hardworking, loving and caring man and was known to be very creative and artistic.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Ramona Lopez.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 46 years of marriage, Elida R. Lopez.
Sons, Margarito Lopez Jr. and Marco A. Lopez.
Grandson, Marco Abraham Lopez.
Brothers, Rodolfo V. (Mary) Lopez, Florencio (Diamantina) Lopez, Luis (Priscilla) Lopez, Alfonso (Rita) Lopez Jr., Valentin (Cynthia) Lopez and Ramon (Yolanda) Lopez.
Sisters, Consuelo L. Gonzalez and Beatriz (Alfredo) Leal.
Also surviving her are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
The family would like to thank the Laredo Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Staff for all the caring attention given to him during his time there.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8:05 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will be held on a later date.
