MARIA ACOSTA Maria Acosta, 80, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at a local hospital. Mrs. Acosta was born in Candela, Coahuila, and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Esteban and Maria Davila. Brother, Nicolas Davila. She is survived by his loving husband, Jesus C. Acosta. Sons, Jesus Acosta Jr. and Gerardo (Jennette) Acosta. Grandchildren, Karina Acosta, Gerardo Acosta Jr., Efrain Acosta, Carolina Acosta, Cassandra Acosta, Alejandro Acosta and Diego. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many Friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Nuestra Senora Del Rosario Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
