Obituary

DORA MARIA CAZAREZ Dora Maria Cazarez, 83, passed away and went to Heaven with the lord on Thursday, February 5, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on January 24, 1932 to Mr. and Mrs. Roberto Mateo Guadalupe Alaniz. Dora was greatly loved and dedicated to her life and her children and grandchildren and so many others. She worked for Webb County Sheriff's Department and was retired from Juvenile Detention Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Isauro Cazarez. Daughter, Dora Elia Garcia. Sons, Rafael Alberto Cazarez, Jorge Cazarez and Ramiro Cazarez. Son-in-Law, Alfonso Garcia. Daughter-in-Law, Eliza Cazarez. She is survived by her children, Edna (Fernando) Murad, Elsa Valdez, Isauro (Ana) Cazarez, Araceli Cazarez, Leticia (Fidel) Escobedo, Javier (Aida) Cazarez, Rosa Cazarez and Cindy Rosalez. She had 39 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Also brothers and sisters, Graciela Gonzalez, Hortencia Alaniz, Jessie Alaniz and Jose Alaniz. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many dear friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
