MISS MARIA CRISTINA GOMEZ Miss Maria Cristina Gomez, 62, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas Miss Gomez, was born Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is preceded in death by her father, Ricardo Vicente Gomez. She is survived by her mother, Olimpia H. Gomez. her 4 siblings: Diana Minerva (Larry) Kajs, Ricardo G. (Ana) Gomez, Rosa Maria Gomez and Ana Laura (Abel Antonio) Aranda. Also surviving her are he 9 nephews and nieces: Ricardo J. Gomez, David A. (Christine) Gomez, Michael J. Gomez, Annette Cantu, Karina (Michael) Hiddemen, Xavier Cantu, Astrid A. Aranda, Arianne I. Aranda and Andrea A. Aranda. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 10, 21014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic church. Committal service and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
