MARIA D. CANALES
Maria D. Canales, 89, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021.
Mrs. Canales was born in Laredo, Texas and was a longlife resident.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Maria Paz.
Her beloved husband, Reymundo Canales.
Brothers, Rafael Paz and Ramon Paz.
Sisters, Ninfa Hernandez and Laura Nañez.
Granddaughter, Carolina Manjarrez.
She is survived by her children, Griselda (Michael) Brock, Diana C. Murillo (Jason Cuadra), Maria de la Luz (Ricardo) Tijerina, Irma Canales (Martin Castillo) and Raymundo Canales.
8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Sister, Guadalupe (Francisco) Guzman.
Brother, Juan (Francisca) Paz, Roberto (Angelina) Paz and Raul Paz.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
The Family would like to offer a special "Thank You" to Las Alturas Nursing Home and to Serenity Hospice Care for the loving care they provided.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
