MARIA ANTONIA CANTU

Maria Antonia Cantu, 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

Mrs. Cantu was born in Mathis, Texas and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her daughter, Juana Zamora.

Brothers, Aniceto Pardo and Pedro Pardo.

She is survived by her loving husband, of over 69 years of marriage, Jose Cantu.

Children, Jose Cantu Jr. (Linda), Antonio Cantu (Bertha), Jose Lino Zamora, Maria De Jesus Marin (Jose), Hilda Fuentes, (Servando), Sandra Loza (Jerry), Olga Jaramillo (Vicente) and Nelly Espinoza (Raul).

Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 7, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. A Liturgy of the Word officiated by Rev. Deacon Ignacio Valdez, was held in the funeral home chapel. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
