MARIA G.  CANTU AREVALO

Maria G. Cantu  Arevalo, 72, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Arevalo was born in Anahuac, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Inocencio Arevalo.Parents, Israel and Maria Luisa Cantu.Siblings, Leticia Cantu de Hernandez and Jose Luis Cantu.

She is survived by her children, Jose (Melissa) Arevalo, Jorge Luis (Narcedalia Salinas) Arevalo, Roberto Carlos (Fabiola Peña) Arevalo, Lizzeth (Ramiro) Zamora, Raul Gerardo (Joanna Judith) Arevalo, Julio Israel (Jessica) Arevalo, Jacqueline Yesenia (Fernando E. Fernandez, Jr) Arevalo, Estrella Arevalo and Jose Luis Arevalo.28 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.Siblings, Osvaldo Cantu, Nelda Cantu de Hernandez, Hector Cantu, Jorge Cantu Jr. and Hilda Cantu de Sanchez.

Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, February 16, 2024 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Nuestra Senora del Rosario. Committal Services will be held at a later date.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Jose Arevalo, Jorge Luis Arevalo, Robert Carlos Arevalo, Julio Israel Arevalo, Raul Gerardo Arevalo, Jose Luis Arevalo, Ramiro Zamora and Fernando Fernandez.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Robert Arevalo Jr., Julio Arevalo Jr., Johnathan Arevalo, Joey Arevalo, Danny Arevalo, Jorge Arevalo Jr., Jesse Arevalo and Raul Arevalo Jr.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
