MARIA DEL CARMEN "CARRIE" SANCHEZ Maria Del Carmen "Carrie" Sanchez, 31, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. "Carrie" as she was affectionately known by her family and friends was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident of Laredo. She is preceded in death by her brother Ted D. Sanchez, by her maternal grandparents Dagoberto and Ana Longoria, her paternal grandparents Teodoro and Carmen Sanchez, her uncle Homero Sanchez, her aunts Gracila Cedillo and Maria Carmen Elizondo, her uncle, Enrigue Tomas Longoria, and her aunts, Teresa L. Vela and Consuelo Longoria. She is survived by her loving parents, Juan F. and Maria C. Sanchez. Her brother, Juan D. (Enriqueta) Sanchez, their 3 sons, Juan D. Sanchez, Jr., Joaquin D. Sanchez, and Julian D. Sanchez Her sisters Laura Denise Clapper and Linda Jo (Frank) Santos and her brother Juan F. Sanchez, Jr., Also surviving numerous nephews and nieces and her uncles Antonio A. (Sandra) Longoria, Dagoberto (Kim) Longoria and Jose Luis Longoria. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez & Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
