Maria M. Carreon
Maria M. Carreon, 63, passed away on Saturday, August 13th, 2022.
Ms. Carreon was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and made Laredo, TX her second home.
She was a mother of 4 and led a calm, private life with 3 of her daughters locally.
She was hard-working, dedicated, and possessed incredible strength when dealing with life's struggles.
Ms. Carreon is preceded in death by her parents Bartolo Montenegro and Narcisa Robles.
She is survived by her daughters Susana Carreon, Maria Luisa Carreon, Griselda Carreon, and Magdalena Carreon.
Also, son-in-law Tomas Mejia III and grandchildren Alexis M. Mejia, Nathan G. Mejia, Travis J. Mejia, and Kevin A. Mejia.
As well as, older sister, Juanita Montenegro, and older brother, Federico Montenegro. Including many relatives and friends.

Era madre de 4 hijas y llevaba una vida tranquila y privada con 3 de sus hijas a nivel local.
Era trabajadora, dedicada y poseía una fuerza increíble cuando se enfrentaba a las luchas de la vida.
La muerte de la Sra. Carreón es precedida por sus padres Bartolo Montenegro y Narcisa Robles.
Le sobreviven sus hijas Susana Carreón, María Luisa Carreón, Griselda Carreón y Magdalena Carreón.
Además, yerno Tomás Mejía III y nietos Alexis M. Mejía, Nathan G. Mejía, Travis J. Mejía y Kevin A. Mejía.
Así como, hermana mayor, Juanita Montenegro, y hermano mayor, Federico Montenegro.
Incluyendo muchos familiares y amigos.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. A chapel service ,officiated by Rev. Deacon Leonardo Aguillon was held before committal services and interment which followed at the Laredo City Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Tomas Mejia III, Nathan G. Mejia, Luis Javier Rodriguez, Jose Ramos Montenegro, Gerardo Ramos Montenegro, Federico Montenegro Jr., Bernardo Montenegro and Juan Sambrano.
