MARIA ISABEL "Chabela" MATA
Maria Isabel Mata, 79, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas.
Mrs. Mata was born in Cerritos, S.L.P., Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Silverio and Maria Isabel Sanchez.
Brothers, Rafael Sanchez, Antonio Banda, Benito Sanchez, Ramon Sanchez and Silverio Sanchez.
Sisters, Cesarea Sanchez, Catalina Meza and Josefina Medel Sanchez.
She is survived by her children, Pedro Mata III, Sylvia M. Ornelas and Raquel Isabel (Pedro) Farias.
Grandchildren, Renato (Yvonne) Ornelas III, Emanuel (Liliana) Ornelas, Alejandro Flores, Ruby Yvette Farias, Pedro Alejandro Farias and Daniel Farias.
6 great-grandchildren.
Father of her children, Pedro Juan Mata.
Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 departing from the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave.
Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Emanuel Ornelas, Renato Ornelas III, Alex Flores, Peter Farias, Ruby Farias, Danny Farias, Pedro Farias and Pedro Mata III.
