Maria O. Chapa Maria O. Chapa, 78, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at a local hospital. She was born in Charco Blanco, Nuevo Leon on January 4, 1934. Mrs. Chapa lived in Nuevo Laredo, later moved to San Antonio, Texas. Then moved to California where she worked for many years at Del Monte Foods. Later retired and moved back to Laredo, Texas. Where she dedicated all her time as a wife, mother and a wonderful grandmother. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her mother Antonia Paz, Father Pedro Garza. Her loving husband Noe Chapa. Brothers Jose Garza and Pedro Garza. Sisters Cesaria Vila, Paz Garza and Antonia Garza. She is survived by her children Felix (Patricia) Chapa, Jesus (Maria Elena) Chapa, Noe (Maria De La Paz) Chapa, Alfredo (Emilia) Chapa, Maria De La Luz (Liberato) Garitson, Pedro Chapa, Odila (Miguel) Lepe and Alma (Leonardo) Espinoza. 22 grandchildren. 4 great-grandchildren. Sister Adalia Garza. Brother Samuel Garza. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, November 12, 2012 departing from the funeral home. A Religious Services will be held at 8:30 a.m. at Cross Road Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
