Obituary

MARIA ROSARIO "CHAYO" LUNA

Rosario, also know as "Chayo" or "Rosie" ,as her family had come to lovingly call  her ,76, passed away on Friday, May 10, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

She was an avid community resident, mother and friend to many for years to come. She had been employed at Wal-mart Stores for 7 years and then went on to Sam's Club for 18 years where she retired from. With her years of service at Sam's she got to meet longtime friends.

"Chayo", was well known for her participation of multiple organizations in Laredo such as "Epoca De Oro", "Crime Stoppers" and "Ladies Auxiliaries of Laredo" in which she participated for several years.

Not only did she have time for her all her  activities, but she  always made time to attend functions with her children, especially one of her favorite one's  was the annual Firefighters Dance where she was the life of the party. She was adored and  loved by those who knew her or had come to know her.

Once she was fully retired, her routine stayed the same and at the end of 2019 she decided to stop driving and that is the time where she became fully attended to. She would wait at the gate close to 5 o"clock because she knew her day was starting for the "calle" trips to the department stores, restaurants and maqinitas. This was her daily routine. She will be dealy missed.
