In Loving Memory of Maria Cruz

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Godmother and friend.

Maria Cruz, 77, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas.

Maria was born in General Cepeda, Coahuila.,Mexico and had been a lifelong resident of Laredo.
She is preceded in death by her parents Faustino and Juanita Chavarria, Sisters Petra Chavarria, Teresa Chavarria, Agustina Trujillo and brothers, Mario Chavarria and Fausto Chavarria.

She is survived by her loving children Laura Ramirez(Jose Ramirez), Claudia Cruz and Samuel Cruz (Lucy Cruz).
Her Grandchildren Dylan Flores, Joshua Ramirez, Sophie Cruz, Sammy Cruz and Robert Cruz, her Goddaughter Maribel Espinosa and by her sister Socorro Valle.

Also surviving are many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own. As well as other family members and many friends.

Maria dedicated her life to raising her children with unwavering love and strength. Her kindness, generosity, and support were the cornerstones of her family. She was not only a mother but a guiding light, always putting the needs of her children and grandchildren above her own.

Funeral services were held on Friday, July 26, 2024 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Samuel Cruz, Joe Ramirez, Sammy Cruz, Josh Ramirez, Dylan Flores, JC Rodriguez, Mike Lara and Ruben Rosales.

HONORARY PALLBEARER: Ruby Cruz.

María Cruz, de 77 años, falleció el martes 23 de julio de 2024 en San Antonio, Texas.

María nació en General Cepeda, Coahuila, México.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres Faustino y Juanita Chavarría. Las hermanas Petra Chavarria, Teresa Chavarria, Agustina Trujillo y los hermanos Mario Chavarria y Fausto Chavarria.

Le sobreviven sus amados hijos Laura Ramírez (José Ramírez), Claudia Cruz y Samuel Cruz (Lucy Cruz).
Sus nietos Dylan Flores, Joshua Ramirez, Sophie Cruz, Sammy Cruz y Robert Cruz.
Su ahijada Maribel Espinosa.
Su hermana Socorro Valle.

También sobreviven muchas sobrinas y sobrinos que ella amaba como si fueran suyos. Además le sobreviven otros familiares y muchos amigos.

María dedicó su vida a criar a sus hijos con amor y fortaleza inquebrantables. Su amabilidad, generosidad y apoyo fueron los pilares de su familia. Ella no fue sólo una madre sino una luz guía, siempre anteponiendo las necesidades de sus hijos y nietos a las suyas propias.

Los servicios funerarios se llevaron a cabo el viernes 26 de julio de 2024 partiendo de las Capillas Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside, 800 Boston St. en San Bernardo Ave. La Santa Misa se celebró en la Iglesia Católica Madre Cabrini. Siguieron los servicios de sepelio y el entierro en el Cementerio Calvario Católico.
