MARIA DEL REFUGIO IBARRA

Maria Del Refugio Ibarra, 73, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Ibarra was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Maria Luisa Garza.

Brothers, Jose Angel Garza, Juan Garza and Jose Garza.

Sisters, Andrea Garza and Ramona Morales.

Son-in-law, Edgar Garcia.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 57 years of marriage, Roberto Ibarra Sr.

Children, Roberto (Veronica) Ibarra Jr., Patricia Ibarra (Ovidio Mireles Jr.), Rene (Belinda) Ibarra, Yvonne Ibarra and Ruben (Sandra) Ibarra.

29 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Sister, Brigida Vaiz.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 22, 2023 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Roberto Ibarra Jr., Ruben Ibarra, Roberto Ibarra III, Rudy Ibarra, Rolando Ibarra, Joe Mata III, Leroy Hernandez and Rudy Garcia.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS WERE: Ovidio Mireles Jr., Rene Ibarra, Edward Garcia, Edgar Garcia and Carlos Canales.
