MARIA PILAR DIAZ
Maria Pilar Diaz, 89, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Diaz was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, who passed away on April 18, 2012, Raul Diaz De Leon. They were married for 68 years.
Parents, Catarino and Virginia C. Castillo.
Brothers, Leocadio Castillo and Jesus Castillo.
Sister-in-Law, Victoria Castillo Gutierrez.
She is survived by her children, Raul Diaz Jr. (Maria Francisca+), Jose Ramiro (Beatriz) Diaz, Alma Rosa (Alejandro) Diaz-Cavazos and Reynaldo (Amelia) Diaz.
Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Also surviving her are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to her Caregivers, Nora Camacho, Consuelo and Julia. They would also like to thank Healing Hands Home Health Care, for their compassion and special attention provided. Finally, they would also like to recognize her Nurses, Nydia and Alicia, for all their assistance given to Mrs. Diaz.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt gratitude to her Caregivers, Nora Camacho, Consuelo and Julia. Finally, they would also like to recognize her Nurses, Nydia and Alicia, for all their assistance given to Mrs. Diaz.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
