Maria Elena Capilla, 82, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 in Laredo, Texas

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A Vigil of the Deceased will be officiated at 7:00 p.m. that evening in the funeral home chape. Funeral Services will begin at 8:30 a.m. Monday, morning August 31, 2026 departing in procession from the funeral home Chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal Services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Maria Elena Capilla, de 82 años, falleció el martes 25 de agosto de 2026 en Laredo, Texas.El velorio se llevará a cabo el domingo 30 de agosto de 2026, de 4:00 p. m. a 9:00 p. m., en las capillas funerarias Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, ubicadas en la intersección de Boston St. y San Bernardo Ave. Esa misma tarde, a las 7:00 p. m., se oficiará una vigilia por la difunta en la capilla de la funeraria. Los servicios funerarios comenzarán el lunes 31 de agosto de 2026 a las 8:30 a. m., partiendo en cortejo fúnebre desde la capilla de la funeraria. La Santa Misa se celebrará a las 9:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church). Posteriormente, tendrán lugar los servicios de sepelio y el entierro en el cementerio católico Calvary (Calvary Catholic Cemetery).
