MARIA ELENA GONZALEZ
Maria Elena Gonzalez, 65, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Gonzalez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a long life resident.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Armando Toronja Gonzalez, who passed away June 8, 1999.
Father, Ruben Rocha.
Mother, Francisca Flores.
Sisters, Francisca Palma and Rosa Vasquez.
Mother-in-Law, Maria Gonzalez.
Sister-in-Law, Irma Segura.
Nephews and nieces, Ruben Rocha, Antonio Rocha and Claudia Segura.
Brother-in-Law, Agusto Torres.
Step-Father, Canuto Flores.
She is survived by her children, Joey Gonzalez, David (Gabby) Gonzalez and Maria Alicia (Eleazar) Gonzalez.
Grandchildren, Chloris Gonzalez, Kayla Gonzalez,David Gonzalez Jr., Mikey Hernandez, Brianna Hernandez, Oziel Muñoz and Elicia Muñoz.
Great grandchildren,Grey Horta, Demaris Horta, Josuah Hernandez, Iliana Rose Hernandez, Elliott Gonzalez and Luke Gonzalez.
Siblings, Alicia Gonzalez, Emma Rocha, Ruben Rocha, Yolanda Gutierrez, Josephina Vigil, Herlinda Kolander, Manuelita Flores and Guadalupe Bermudes.
Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.
It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Raymond Vigil, Mikey Hernandez III, Ruben Rocha, Pablo Torres, David Gonzalez Jr., Fred Benavides, David Inocencio, Jose Gonzalez and Elieseo Muñoz.
