Maria G. Elizondo passed away in San Antonio at the age of 94. She was born in Austin and moved to Laredo, where she married Juan R. Elizondo and had 16 children.

She is survived by her children Armando (Elva) Elizondo, Alicia (Leo) Flores, Vidal (Patricia) Elizondo, Roberto Elizondo, Olga (Jose Luis) Romanos, Raquel (Nicolas) Belmares, Rogelio Elizondo, Ricardo Elizondo, David (Alejandra) Elizondo, Daniel (Lisa) Elizondo, Rosalinda (Refugio) Molina, Jorge (Sandra) Elizondo, her sister Susana Gonzalez, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents Sebastian and Julia Gonzalez, her husband Juan, and children Lilian Elizondo, Juan Elizondo Jr., Bertha Davis, and Arturo Elizondo. She had 48 grandchildren, 68 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Her family would like to thank her caretaker Pilar Brooks and close friend Ana Maria Jimenez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Religious Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. A Chapel Service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Committal services and interment will then follow to the Laredo City Cemetery.
