Maria Estevis, 97, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Estevis was born in Marlin, Texas and had been a longlife resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Angelita Alonzo.
Spouse, Teofilo Estevis.
Son, Luis Estevis.
Son-in-law, Fernando Morales.

She is survived by her children, Francisco (Maria Guadalupe) Estevis, Alvaro (Isabel) Estevis, Arturo (Maria Isabel) Estevis, Antonio (Diana) Estevis, Elsa (Francisco) Torres, Irma (Pedro) Palomares, Alma Estevis, Alicia Morales, Teofilo (Lydia) Estevis Jr., Jaime (Melissa) Estevis and Ricardo (Laura) Estevis.
40 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
Brother, Daniel (Maria) Alonzo.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
