MARIA CANDELARIA FACTOR
Maria C. Factor, 90, entered the eternal gates of Heaven on February 9, 2016.
During her lifetime she was a parishioner and volunteer at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church, she was also a volunteer crossing guard at Leyendecker Elementary School.
She was always full of life, loved to dance and had a beautiful sense of humor. She devoted her life to raising her eight children. She will always be remembered for her strong Catholic faith that she instilled upon her children.
Ms. Factor was a devoted Mother and a loving Grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Gonzalo Factor, Sr.; her daughter "BB" Vaughan, granddaughter, Sylvia Factor Dominguez and eleven brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sons and daughters, Maria Bedoy (Pedro), Gonzalo Factor Jr. (Ellie), Oralia Factor, Gilbert Factor, Joe Factor (Pamela), Irene Valdez (Humberto), Gerardo Factor (Laura) and son-in-law, Craig Vaughan.
25 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their heart felt appreciation to Dr. Francisco Gutierrez, his assistant Nancy Gonzalez, Friendly Primary Care, especially Ms. Teresa Rosales (care giver); ABC Home Health-Mr. Ray Valdez; Nurses on Wheels of Laredo; LMC Dr. Ghazy and staff and Laredo Downtown Pharmacy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2016 and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
