MARIA G. VARGAS
Maria G. Vargas, 79, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Vargas was born in Bastrop, Texas and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Santos Garza.
Daughter, Baby Carmen Vargas.
Sisters, Agustina Sanchez and Senovia Coy.
she is survived by her loving husband, of 52 years of marriage, Jose Vargas.
Daughters, Cynthia (Ruben) Martinez, Sylvia Vargas and Samantha Solis.
Grandchildren, Ashleigh (Laila) Morales, Mary Catherine Martinez and Therese Nicole Martinez.
Great Grandson, Matthew Renteria.
Brother, Lino (Vera) Garza.
Sister, Manuela Rocha.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, February 5, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrate at 10:30 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WILL BE: Ruben Martinez, Juan Lucio, Joe Rocha, Pablo Gonzalez, Martin Torres and Michael Rocha.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS WERE: Lino Garza and Matthew Renteria.
