MARIA INES GARCIA Maria Ines Garcia, 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at a local hospital. Mrs. Garcia was born in Guatemala, S.L.P, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Geronimo Garcia. Parents, Felix and Marina Cruz. Son, Manuel Garcia. She is survived by her children, Carlos (Connie) Garcia, Jesus (Maria) Garcia, Alfredo (Maria) Garcia, Maria Guadalupe (Jose Angel) Solis and Irma Garcia. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brother, Valente (Elvira) Cruz. Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Santo Nino Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
