MARIA FELICIDAD GOMEZ
Maria Felicidad Gomez, 87, passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016, in Laredo, Texas.
Mom loved cooking for everyone and enjoyed having the family together on holidays.
She has brought us together again to celebrate her Strength, Love and Life.
Mrs. Gomez was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Abundio and Dominga Flores.
Her spouse, Alberto Gomez Jr.
Sons, Adolfo Gomez, Alberto Gomez III and Carlos Gomez.
Daughter, Martha Alicia Tapia.
Also preceding her are her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Maria del Carmen (Sergio) Gutierrez, Janie Gomez, Maria Elena (Jesse) Espinoza, Aida G. (Antonio) Martinez, Ana (Abel) Garza, Rosa (Valentin) Lopez and Lydia G. (Jose) Gonzalez.
23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Information in regards to the funeral services departure time and Holy Mass hour may be obtained by calling (956) 723-2979 or for outside of Laredo 1-800-232-7907.
