MARIA ANTONIA "TONCHE" GONZALEZ
Maria Antonia "Tonche" Gonzalez, 85, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mrs. Gonzalez was born in Guanajuato, Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dario and Carmen Ortiz.
Son, Reinaldo Alberto Gonzalez.
Aunt, Juanita Jasso.
Cousins, Leandro and Carmela Jasso.
Son-in-Law, Jesus Lares.
She is survived by her loving husband, of 68 years of marriage, Margarito M. Gonzalez.
Children, Maria Alicia Gonzalez, Margarito (Linda) Gonzalez Jr., Enedelia Lares, Javier Alejandro Gonzalez, Jacqueline Gonzalez, Gerardo Gonzalez and Rene Gonzalez.
26 grandchildren, many g reat-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Sisters, Rosa (Reynaldo) Lopez and Herlinda Ortiz.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at San Francisco Javier Catholic Church. Committal services will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
