MARIA E. GUZMAN Maria E. Guzman, 53, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at a local hospital. Mrs. Guzman was born and raised in Laredo,Texas. She is preceded in death by her father, Lorenzo Guerrero Sr. and by her brother, Lorenzo Guerrero Jr. She is survived by her loving husband, Melchor Robert Guzman. Children, Robert Anthony (Julie) Guzman, Daniel (Lee) Guzman,and Michael Guzman. Grandchildren, Elizabeth Ryan, Nicholas Anthony, Elijah Liam, Rebekah Lee. Mother, Maria Christina Guerrero. Brothers and sisters, Maria Antonieta (Rudy) Ortiz, Matilde Johnson, Maria Inez (Alejandro) Medina, Margarita (Julio) Barbosa, Marta (Joe) Alcantar, Maria Del Carmen (Jaime) Madrigal, Mario A. Guerrero, Minerva (Sergio) Villarreal, Maria Isabel (Ricky) Roach, and Maria Cristina (Daniel) Arevalo. Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral Services will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
