MARIA HILDA ORTIZ
Maria Hilda Ortiz, 86, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022 in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Ortiz was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Margarita Martinez.
Spouse, Jose N. Ortiz Jr.
Daughter, Maria Guadalupe Ortiz.
Brother, Jose Martinez Jr.
In-laws, Jose and Trinidad Ortiz Sr.
Sister-in-law, Susana Cuellar.
Brothers-in-law, Alfredo Ortiz, Gilberto Ortiz, Armando Tellez and James Vogel.
She is survived by her children, Rosa Maria Ponce, Rick Ortiz, Rogelio (Ana Luisa) Ortiz, Reynaldo Ortiz, Reymundo (Maria Olivia) Ortiz, Hilda Juanita (Fidel) Borrego, Raquel (Juan Ramirez) Ortiz, Rene (Lupita) Ortiz and Roxana (Jose Manuel) Martinez Jr.
28 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Sisters, Santa Tellez and Eva Vogel.
Sisters-in-law, Victoria Ortiz and Guadalupe Ortiz.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 departing from the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St., at San Bernardo Ave.
Holy Mass was celebrated at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Laredo City Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Eddie Aleman, Jorge Ponce, Ray Ortiz Jr., Ismael Lopez Jr., Richie O. Ortiz, David Ortiz, Jawson Reed Ortiz and Jose Gerardo Ortiz.
HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Rick Ortiz, Rogelio Ortiz, Reynaldo Ortiz, Reymundo Ortiz and Rene Ortiz.
