MARIA ELBA IBARRA Maria Elba Ibarra, 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at a local hospital. Mrs. Ibarra was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Juan Ibarra. Parents, Florencio and Maria G. Sotelo. Daughter, San Juanita I. Estrada. Sister, Delia Rodriguez. She is survived by her children, Juan Jose (Alejandra) Ibarra, Irene Arriaga, Yolanda Mata, Gloria I. (Marcos) Gonzalez and Arturo Ibarra. 14 Grandchildren and 8 Great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, Oscar (Rosa) Sotelo, Armando Sotelo, Daniel (Matilde) Sotelo and Olga (Oscar) Maldonado. Also surviving her are numerous, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Santo Nino Catholic Church. Committal services and Interment will then follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
