JUANITA IRMA PONCE

Juanita Irma Ponce, 76, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Mrs. Ponce was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Eduardo H. Ibarra.

Mother, Maria L. Ibarra.

Sister, Alma Nora Ibarra.

Daughter, Jessica I. Ponce.

Son, Jose Ponce III.

Sisters in Law, Alta Gracia Garza and Ma Guadalupe Sanchez.

She is survived by herr loving husband, of 53 years of marriage, Jose Ponce Jr.

Her Daughter, Jennifer A. Ponce.

Her grandchildren, Savannah Pena (Alexander McMahen), Jose Ponce IV (Kassandra Vazquez), Jonathan N. Ponce, Luis E. Ponce (Rowan Dickey), Sarinah J. Ponce, Leah N. Ponce and Vianey Perez.

6 great grandchildren.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Sisters, Ina C. Ibarra, Guadalupe (Roberto†) De Luna.

Brother, Eduardo E. (Antonia) Ibarra.

Sisters in Law, Sr. Martina Ponce FMA, Maria Socorro Gonzalez and Maria (Carlos) Valdez.

Brother in Law, Calixtro Ponce.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 from 4 p.m. yo 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
