MARIA DE JESUS FLORES
Maria de Jesus Flores, 97, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023.
Mrs. Flores was born in Mexico and was a longlife resident of Laredo, Texas.
Jesusita was a faithful servant of God. She loved our Lord Jesus Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mother with all her heart.
In her early adult years, she devoted most of her time bringing people to God. She shared Jesus's love and mercy with so many people.
She ministered the Gospel of God with anyone that she'd come across with.
She served at San Luis Rey church for approximately 40 years as a Guadalupana,
a member of Maria Auxiliadora, member ofAdoracion Nocturna, and theRenovacion Christiana.
Jesusita was also a Eucharist Minister at Mercy Hospital for many years. Visiting the sick was what she loved the most.
Jesusita always made you feel loved, she always had kind words for you and shared her well earned wisdom with everyone.
As a grandmother to all, she would give anyone that stopped by to visit her a blessing.
She will be surely missed by her loving family and all her friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Arturo Flores, her father, Jose Maria Aguirre and by her Mother, Simona Alviar.
She is survived her children, Arturo (Reyna) Flores, Jr., Armando (Lillie) Flores and Barbara Alicia Villa.
9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Rosary, officiated by Las Guadalupanas, will be held at 5:30 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernard Ave . Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committals services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Christopher Rangel, Andrew Rangel, Jesus A. Villa, Arturo Flores III, Arturo Flores IV, Christopher Peña and Josue Arenas.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
