MARIA LUISA HERNANDEZ Maria Luisa Hernandez, 79, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at a local hospital. Mrs. Hernandez was born in Laredo, Texas and she moved to San Antonio, Texas where she lived for numerous years and then later returned to Laredo to join her family. Mrs. Hernandez worked in Santa Rosa Hospital in San Antonio as a Certified Nurse Assistant for many years. She then retired and returned to Laredo to care for her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lorenzo and Concepcion Gonzalez. Sister, Esperanza Summers. Cousins, Rebecca Flores and Taniz Valdez. She is survived by her husband, of 52 years of marriage, Teodoro Gomez Hernandez. Children, Juan Roel (Gloria) Gonzalez, Juan Roberto (Maria Del Carmen) Hernandez, Sylvia Hernandez, Teodoro Hernandez Jr. Sandra (Richard) Villarreal, Lorenzo Hernandez and Araceli Rincon. Grandchildren, Juan Roel Gonzalez II, Idra (Ruben) Rodriguez, Richardo Joel "R.J." Gonzalez, Juan Roberto Hernandez Jr., Jessica Hernandez, Richard Villarreal Jr., Jose Villarreal and Richard Rincon. Great-grandchildren, Isabel Saenz, Dante Jewels Gonzalez, Hector Roel Rodriguez, Diego Jesus Rodriguez, Kayla Michelle Hernandez. Also numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sister, Socorro (Francisco) Ramirez. Niece and Nephew, Diana Summers and Johnny Summers. Also numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9 a.m. with a chapel service officiated by Pastor Irma De Jesus Torres of Iglesia Cristiana. Committal services and interment will immediately follow in Laredo City Cemetery.
