MARIA DE LA LUZ GARZA Maria De La Luz Garza, 89, passed away on Thursday October 8, 2015 at a local hospital. Mrs. Garza was born in Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Amador Garza Cuellar. Parents, Francisco Granados Flores and Felicitas Gonzalez Rocha de Granados. She is survived by her children, Maria Guadalupe G. (Juan Ventura) De Navarro , Rosa Maria G. (Jose Trinidad) de Frias, Yolanda G. (Rafael) Zevadua, Eduardo (Dora) Guardiola. Grandchildren, Ariadna Navarro, Axel Navarro, Ivan Navarro, Jose David Frias, Oziel Frias, Melissa Frias, Felipe De Jesus Gomez, Nayelli Zevadua, Azael Zevadua, Alexis Guardiola, Yair Guardiola and Renny Guardiola. Brothers and sisters, Carmelo Granados, Locadia Granados, Marcelino Granados, Isabel Granados, Antonia Granados and Maria Elena Granados. Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends. Visitation and a Vigil of the Deceased was held on Friday, October 09, 2015 in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
