MARIA LUISA LOPEZ Maria Luisa Lopez, 73, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at her local residence. Mrs. Lopez was born in Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for sometime. She was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Lopez of 34 years of marriage. Also by her parents, Antonio Vela and Concepcion Gutierrez Vela. Brothers, Roberto Vela, Raul Vela, Ruben Vela and Antonio Vela. She is survived by her loving children, Francisco (Eunice) Lopez, Antonio (Lilia) Lopez, Rosalinda Lopez and Mario Alberto (Mona Lisa) Lopez. 5 grandchildren, Maria Aurora Lopez, Jessica Jasmine Lopez, Analy Lopez, Francisco Lopez Jr. and Azeneth Lopez. Brother and Sister, Juan Jose Vela and Carolina (Francisco, dec'd) Barrera. Also numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 25, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m on Saturday, May 26, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
