MARIA LUISA MENDOZA-CONTRERAS

Maria Luisa Mendoza-Contreras, 76, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026.

Mrs. Mendoza was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Contreras.

Siblings, Enrique Mendoza, Francisco Mendoza and Maria Elena Tapia.

Son. Francisco Contreras Jr.

She is survived by her children, Sergio (Argelia) Contreras, Francisco Gerardo (Juanita) Contreras, Martin Contreras and Oscar (Monica) Contreras.

11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Siblings, Sylvia Diaz, Ana Fernandez, Noemi Mendoza, Juan Mendoza, Arturo Mendoza, Mario Mendoza and Armando Mendoza.

Also survivign her are numerous nephews, nieces, pther relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. A Liturgy of the Word will be officiated in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Committal services will be held on a later date.
