MA. ALAMAR MACIEL Ma. Alamar Maciel, 89, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2015 at a local hospital. Mrs. Maciel was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long reident. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Manuel Maciel Jr. who passed away on May 23, 2008. Also other brothers and sisters. Parents, Fidel A. and Gonzala G. Garcia. She is survived by her sons and daughters, Manuel (Elia) Maciel, III., Fidel (Ruth) Maciel, Lamar (Javier) Melve, David (Maribel) Maciel, Hector Maciel, Margarita Maciel, Raquel (Tony) Pena and Jackie (Jay) Lara. 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Also surviving her is 1 sister, nephews, nieces other relatives and numerous friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from the funeral home chapel. A Eucharistic Service will be held at San Jose Catholic Church at 9:00 a.m. and officiated by Rev. Deacon Crispin Soto. Committal services and interment will then follow the service at the Laredo City Cemetery-Veteran's Section.
