Maria del Socorro Maldonado David passed to be with our Lord on February 15, 2015 at the age of 80. Maria was born in Romita, Guanajuato, but she lived in Laredo most of her life. Maria David was a woman of great beauty, extraordinary strength, endless generosity, dear friendships, and deep faith. As a devout Catholic, Maria David belonged to the Saint Jude Catholic Church community. She always believed that her greatest gift from God were her five children to whom she gave unconditional love. Maria David could spend many hours outdoors taking care of her pets, watering her plants, and listening to the birds chirp. Maria David enjoyed dancing, traveling, knitting, reading, and playing bingo, yet she mostly delighted in being surrounded by her family and friends. She especially enjoyed being with her circle of friends at El Paraiso Day Care. She will truly be missed by all who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life. Her family will forever be indebted to her for her love and guidance. She is preceded in death by her husband, Abel David, her sons, Abel David Jr. and Luis Adrian David, her brother Luis Maldonado, and her cousin, Maria Isabel Trejo Maldonado. She is also survived by her three granddaughters, Sonia Carolina Zamarripa, Adriana Yvette Zamarripa, and Jackeline Kelly Walker, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to her doctors, Jorge and Eduardo Gomez Vasquez, and to Altus Hospice for their most sincere kindness and attention.
