She is preceded in death by her parents Guillermo Leal and Manuela Medina Leal and her loving husband, of 74 years, Sotero Olivares.

She is survived by her Children Guillermo (Rosa) Olivares, Sotero (Alicia+) Olivares Jr., Alma R. Olivares and Sergio Olivares as well as her 11 grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren.

Maria also known as "Chuyita" was a very kind, humble and loving woman. She enjoyed cooking large meals for her family, making various crafts and tending to her plants. She always enjoyed being in the company of others whether it would be for a game of Loteria or a day of shopping. She was happiest when in the company of her family. She will always be remembered for her kind heart, bright smile and her great sense of humor. She will be truly missed by all.
