MARIA RAFAELA GARCIA

On February 18, 2019, our beloved, Maria Rafaela Garcia entered peacefully into eternal rest surrounded by her loving and caring family at her side.

"Mami," as she was well known by all close family and friends touched the hearts of all who knew her. She had an incredible sense of humor, loved to entertain family gatherings, and looked forward to a GREAT spot in front of a maquinita.

Our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Baltazar Anselmo Garcia; her parents Aurelio Garza and Elvira Moreno-Garza; siblings, Graciela Alfaro, Josefina Mar, Maribel Garza, Isidro Garza, and Marcos Garza.

She is survived by her children, Baltazar (Victoria) Garcia, Jr., Carmen Garcia, Raul (Yolanda) Garcia, Daniel Garcia, and Miguel (Roxann) Garcia; 14 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren; and numerous other family members.

"Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I'll miss you until we meet again."

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
