MARIA ODILIA RODRIGUEZ WICKLUND

Maria Odilia Rodriguez Wicklund, 82, of Laredo, Texas  passed away on May 31, 2024.

She was born in Laredo, Texas on June 25, 1941. Maria was a proud graduate of Martin High School Class of '59 (Always a Tiger!). She then went on to work for LISD for many years. Maria was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother who was fortunate enough to have lived throughout California, Arizona and Texas. After some time she finally returned to her beloved Laredo for the remainder of her life.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus (Francisca) Rodriguez.
Brothers, Francisco and Jose Rodriguez.
Sisters, Selvia Reyes and Linda Muñoz, as well as her sons, George David Carrillo and Edwin Carl Wicklund.
She is survived by her sisters, Minerva Lopez and Irma (Alfredo+) Garcia.
Brothers, Jesus (Gloria) Rodriguez, Omar Rodriguez, Ricardo (Lucy) Rodriguez and Dagoberto (Claudia) Rodriguez.
Her son John David Carrillo and daughter Mary Elizabeth Carrillo.
Grandchildren, Michael J. Carrillo, Linda F. Chavez, David Flores, John David (Audrey) Carrillo II, Roxanne Wicklund, Gianna Carrillo and her 4 great grandchildren. As well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She will forever be cherished and loved by her family and all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a religious service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave .  Committal services will be held on a later date.
