MISS MARIA DEL ROSARIO FUNES
Miss Maria Del Rosario Funes, 63, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021.
Miss Funes was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and passed away in San Antonio, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Hortencia Funes.
Brother, Gerardo Funes.
Aunts, Ofelia Gonzalez and Estela Ruiz.
Uncle, Juan Gonzalez and Margarita Gonzalez.
Nephew, Michael Angel Funes.
Maternal grandparents, Lucio Cantu and Gregoria Cantu.
Paternal grandparents, Gaudencio Funes and Loretta Funes.
She is survived by her siblings, Jose Victor (Maricela) Funes, Jose Gilberto (Dora) Funes, Alfredo Funes, Hermelinda Camara, Dora (Orlando) Charles, Gaudencio Funes, Mary Esther Funes and Maria (Jose Alberto) Parada.
Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:05 a.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
