MARIA ESTELA SALAZAR

Maria Estela Salazar, 85, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2019 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Salazar was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Maria Estella Rodriguez.

Beloved husband, Jose Maria Salazar.

Daughters, Narcisa S. Marfil and Ana Maria Salazar.

Brothers, Jose P. (Minerva) Rodriguez and Francisco Rodriguez.

Sister, Belia (Hermelegildo) Herrera.

Brother-in-law, Agapito Ruiz.

Survived by children, Ermiliana S. (Gavino) Gamez, Jose Maria (Guillermina) Salazar Jr., Lorenzo (Sandra) Salazar, Maria Elena Salazar and Gerardo (Sylvia) Salazar.

17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Sisters, Herminia (Agapito+) Ruiz, Marta Rodriguez and Josefa (Jose) Castillo.

Brother, Martin (Gale) Rodriguez.

Also surviving her are other relative and many friends.

PALLBEARERS WILL BE: Lorenzo Salazar, Lorenzo A. Salazar, Gerardo Salazar, Gerardo Salazar Jr., Gavino Gamez, Gavino Gamez Jr., Jorge H. Ugartechea and Jorge H. Ugartechea Jr.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS WILL BE: Jose Maria Salazar Jr., Antonio Marfil Jr., Juan Carlos Marfil, Norberto Marfil and Valeria Marfil.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing from the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
