MARIA ROSALINDA SANTA CRUZ

Maria Rosalinda Santa Cruz, 78, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023 at  a local hospital.

Mrs. Santa  Cruz was born and raised in Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years of marriage, Gilberto Santa Cruz, by her siblings, Dionisio Gonzalez, Jr., Lilia Cabello, Martha Temblador, Yolanda Angel, Margarita Alcantar, Carmelita Gonzalez, San Juana DeLeon, Ricardo Gonzalez, Mario Gonzalez, Samuel Gonzalez and Manuel Rene Gonzalez, her great-granddaughter  Crisen Ely Martinez and by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Dionisio Gonzalez and Margarita Adame De Gonzalez.

She is survived by her six children, Araceli Santa Cruz, Idalia Garza, Norma (Matthew) Garza, Alberto Santacruz, Anna (Hector) Villarreal and Patricia (Roel) Hernandez.

Grandchildren; Christina Martinez, Ediberto Garza Jr., Ernesto Garza, Pedro De La Rosa III, Arcelina De La Rosa, Krystal Santa Cruz, Amanda Garza, Jasmine Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, Ethan Villarreal, Erick Villarreal and Marcus Lopez.

Great-grandchildren, Kiana Santa Cruz, Madison Ely Martinez, Gregorio Eden Martinez, Arabella Ortega and Avery De La Rosa.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A Funeral Procession will begin departing at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are; Robert Gonzalez, Hector Villarreal, Roel Hernandez, Matt Garza, Ediberto Garza, Ernie Garza, Mike Hernandez and Efren Martinez.

Honorary pallbearers are; Ethan Villarreal and  Erick Villarreal

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and  San Bernardo Ave.
